Social media trends are fun and we are always waiting for the next one to drop to join the chorus. But these trends are also hot ground for hackers to lurk around, waiting for the next gullible prey. In the latest, a TikTok trend called "Invisible challenge" has become the target of hackers.
What is the trend? The "Invisible challenge" on TikTok asks users to pose naked… yes naked… but while using a special video effect called "Invisible Body".

How are the hackers using it? Hackers are taking advantage of some mischievous users trying to find a way to remove the filter to look at the real naked bodies of the TikTokers.

The malware was found in a new report by cybersecurity firm Checkmarx. Even now, if you type on Google "Invisible filter", you will get recommendations for "Invisible filter remover software/app", etc. There are even YouTube videos on this.
Moral of the story: Next time a viral video asks you to download unknown software for any reason, whether it is to download a cool new filter or to remove a filter, don't do it!
