
Several WhatsApp users around the world reported the messaging platform being down on Tuesday (October 25). Users in India, Bangladesh, US, UK and elsewhere reported the same. Meta (formerly Facebook), which owns WhatsApp, confirmed that the messaging platform had been down for a while. But it seems like the platform is operating as usual again.

When: According to Downdetector website, WhatsApp was reported to be down between 12pm and 1pm IST today. But several users reported the outage till about 2-2.30 pm in India.
Meta said that it was looking into the issue.
However, there is no official statement from Meta as to why it happened.
This is nothing new to Meta, as WhatsApp has faced the same issues in the past too. But this time, the outage was reportedly longer than usual.
