If you are on social media and interested in Hollywood dramas (no, not the fictional ones; but the ones involving celebs), you must be seeing Reels and YouTube Shorts all over your feed from the past two months, about 'mean girls' throwing shade at Selena Gomez or Selena Gomez fans being mean to Hailey Bieber (whatever side you are on).
Event 1: The whole controversy started when Selena Gomez went on a vacation to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, where she was papped and her photo was released online, on January 3.
Now, trolls in the comments section were mean to her and doled out unsolicited body-shaming advice. Check out some comments:
Event 2: The whole thing accelerated after a TikTok video that was posted by Haliey Bieber, in which (Selena fans believe) Bieber was taking a dig at Selena Gomez's vacation photos.
In the video, Kendall, Hailey and Justine Skye (you must have heard her song Collide, it's trending on Instagram right now) were lip-syncing to the lyrics, "I'm not saying she deserved it but I'm saying is god timings is always right."
Fans, after seeing the video, were outraged and thought their Tiktok was directed at Selena, as she 'deserved' the body-shaming (a little far-fetched I think; but who knows).
But, Hailey deleted the video which added fuel to fire, with fans questioning, "Why did Hailey delete the video if she was right?"
Check out some reactions:
Hailey later came to defend herself and her trio, where she justified their TikTok Video:
Here's how Selena Gomez reacted to the whole scene:
Event 3 (the latest one): This was a month ago, and the drama was settled; until last week when Kylie Jenner joined the dig after she made fun of Selena Gomez.
