As we head into the last three episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, its last episode set the stage for a major showdown. Today's Episode 21 seems poised to focus on the battle between Jujutsu Sorcerers Yuji and Todo and the Cursed Spirit Mahito, possibly bringing this longstanding conflict to a close.
What we have seen so far
- After the shocking events in episode 19 at Shibuya, Yuji faced a tough fight with Mahito in episode 20.
- Mahito unleashed his deadly Black Flash technique, but luckily, Todo and Arrata, friends from the Kyoto school, stepped in to save Yuji.
- Arrata even gave Yuji a bit of hope, suggesting that Nobara might still be alive.

Mahito has the upper hand
- The last episode showed Mahito using Soul Multiplicity and Body Repel to attack Yuji and Todo with transformed souls, limiting their movement in the battlefield.
- This suggests that the Cursed Spirit might have the upper hand in the final battle against the Jujutsu Sorcerers.
- Despite being at a disadvantage against Yuji and Todo, Mahito is likely to use a new technique.
- Preview images indicate that he's creating a new ally from the collected souls.
- This new ally could be a tough challenge, pushing Yuji and Todo to their limits, even with them using 120% of their latent potential.
Can Yuji avenge his friends?
- The much-anticipated showdown between Yuji Itadori and Mahito, hinted at since the anime's beginning, is shaping up for a one-on-one battle.
- If something unfortunate happens to Todo, it could fuel Yuji's determination to defeat Mahito, potentially giving him the upper hand.
- As the anime season nears its end and Kenjaku-Geto has been missing for a while, there's a good chance he'll make a comeback in the next episode and help Mahito out.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 21 titled 'Metamorphosis' will stream tonight (December 14, 2023) on Netflix.
