Exclusive leaked photos of BJP's Sakshi Maharaj painting the night saffron at nightclub

The only time self-styled godman and politician Sakshi Maharaj is in the news-cycle these days is when there is an apparent need for distraction. The BJP MP from Unnao (yes, eerily fitting, right?) is a master when it comes to making outrageous statements. From advising Hindu women to produce at least four children to “protect” the religion, to calling for the arrest of couples who display affection in the open, the man is every bit the conservative Hindutva hardliner one would expect someone like him to be.

But the times they are a-changin'. And the MP finds himself in the churns of the news-cycle once more, but not for being a far-Right extremist. In a strange twist of events, it would appear that Sakshi Maharaj inaugurated not a temple but a nightclub in Aliganj called “Let's Meet”.

It is pretty strange that a man who fits the bill of someone who would attack night club-goers for wearing skimpy clothes or grinding on the dance floor would end up inaugurating one, but facts are facts.

The conservative MP has, of course, tried to make excuses for his un-sanskari behaviour — he claims he was tricked. According to a News18 report, a red-faced Maharaj said,"I was told that it's just a restaurant. There wasn't any mention of a night club.” The report added that Sakshi Maharaj has also filed a complaint with the BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey against former UP state president Rajjan Singh, who he claims had urged him to go for the inauguration.

But we have uncovered exclusive photographs that suggest that the BJP MP is evading the truth. Not only did Sakshi Maharaj know it was a night club, he also seems to have partied his fair share there.

Sakshi Maharaj? More like Sexy Maharaj.

The BJP MP also managed to show some moves to everyone's favourite on-screen nationalist Akshay Kumar.

Inspired by Bobby Deol, the ultra-conservative MP decided to take the club for a spin. After all, songs on "Ram Lalla" are in.
