When my manager told me that I have an opportunity to make a guest appearance on Family Guy, I told him I will sleep on it. He was horrified that I did not jump at the offer that very minute. The popularity of the show and its ability to tickle the funny bone is not something anybody in their right mind, sleeps on. And so began a wonderful and delightful journey. I have just returned from Fox Studios and the experience has been incredible. The office and the sets were filled with toys, posters and cut outs of the characters. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed.

I met up with the executive producer, Steve Callaghan and the casting director, Linda Lamontagne, who helped me with the process. First, the voice is recorded and then they create a sketch. Of course, the character will look like me. I don't want to reveal too much, but all I can say is that overseas my Slumdog Millionaire role has become iconic, so my character will be the host of the game show from the movie. In fact, the lines I was given were so funny that everyone in the studio was in splits as I was recording. The guest role is short and sweet and will be aired sometime next year. I was so happy and humbled to be the first person from my industry to do such a thing. Family Guy has in past had several guest appearances from people like Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey and Liam Neeson.

This entire experience has made a deep impression. I have been talking to Rhea about doing something animated and stream it online. Television is not ready for animated series, but online is a completely different world. Streaming has become bigger and grabs so many eye balls; like Netflix.
If I had to turn myself into an animation, I would say my roles like Mr India (from Mr India), Lakhan (from Ram Lakhan) and Majnu (from Welcome) will make fantastic animated characters.
