Anushka Sharma finds an unlikely fan in Salman Khan and more

On a roll

Anushka Sharma has a new fan and it's none other than her Sultan co-star Salman Khan. Since she joined the cast of the wrestling drama at the beginning of the year, the duo has shot together extensively in Karjat and Delhi. This is the first time they are working together and the Khan can't stop raving about his co-actor.

"Salman's been telling everyone how impressed he is with her. She was very dedicated through her six-week training wrestling training. He also loves how sorted and unfussy she is," says a source close to the superstar.

In an industry where the Khans still rule, an endorsement from Salman goes a long way. And, he is not the only one who has good things to say about the NH10 actress. Her PK co-star Aamir Khan has also often gushed about her professionalism.

Interestingly, from the current crop of actresses, Anushka is the only one who has worked with all three Khans. The Bangalore girl's date book is pretty much choc-a-block for the rest of the year with Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and her home production Phillauri, which went on the floors earlier this week. With both Deepika and Priyanka focused on their Hollywood careers, there's no stopping Anushka.

Exes at the movies

At a show of The Jungle Book in Mumbai last weekend there was drama off screen and on. In the audience were Arbaaz Khan with his son Arnaan, sister-in-law Amrita Arora, her husband Shakeel and their sons Azaan and Rayaan.

While the cousins all hung out together, it was interesting to see the camaraderie between the adults. When the Malaika-Azbaaz separation stories were at their peak only a few weeks ago, the buzz was that Malaika's younger sister Arpita who egged her on to stand firm in her decision to dissolve the marriage.

There was no sign of any animosity between the ex in-laws at the movies so this is one this is one rumour that should disappear soon.

Also, enjoying the film together were Konkona Sen Sharma, ex-husband Ranvir Shorey and their son Haroon. The four-year-old stayed perched in his mom's lap while Ranvir plied them with popcorn and drinks. They even stopped to take pictures with the film poster at the end.

Considering Ranvir is a part of ensemble cast for Konkona's directorial debut A Death In The Gunj, clearly this is one couple who is winning at reinventing their relationship.

Reality check

true

When you are the toast of B-town, it can be very easy to lose grip on reality. You can start believing in your stardom and then early morning dance lessons start feeling like a chore. After all, who wants to do the tango at 9am!

This is exactly what happened to a poor li'l superstar-in-the-making who delivered a monster blockbuster last year.

In preparation for his next, the actor was asked to take dance lessons and teachers were flown in especially from Europe.

While his one-film-old leading actress turned up diligently every day, the actor was consistently late. The dance teachers had no complaints once he reached the studio, but they couldn't wrap their head around his tardiness. They immediately complained to the film's producer and director who also happen to be the actor's mentor.

The young actor was summoned to his office and told in no uncertain terms that he could be replaced at any time. And, that's all it took. Next day onwards the actor would reach the dance studio even before the teachers could.
