Rapper A$AP Rocky was arrested at the Los Angeles airport on April 20, as soon as he landed from his vacation in Barbados with pregnant girlfriend, Rihanna. Rocky ( originally named as Rakim Mayers) was arrested for allegedly assaulting with a deadly weapon (gun) back in November 2021.

TMZ reported that LA Police said Rocky knew the victim and alleged shooting happened after an argument between the victim and Rocky. After he was arrested, LA Police also searched Rocky's house and exited with a box of alleged evidence. Rocky was questioned and booked at LA Police headquaters.

LAPD said that Rocky and two other males 'fled on foot' after the shooting on November 6, 2021 and the victim sought medical treatment for his injuries, supposedly minor.

Rocky's bail has been set at US $550,000 and his court date is August 17, as per the LA County Sheriff’s Department booking report.

Regarding the arrest, a source told Entertainment Tonight about how Rihanna is feeling, "This drama is the last thing Rihanna needs right now. She wants to be mellow, relaxed, and focused 100 percent on the arrival of her baby; not stressing out!"

The source added, "This arrest was not something they saw coming. Rihanna made a point to navigate the public side of her pregnancy on her own terms and now suddenly things seem out of her control."

This isn't the first recent controversy Rocky finds himself in the middle of. Fashion influencer and writer, Louis who goes by the name LOUIS_via_ROMA on Twitter, revealed a few days ago that Rihanna had split from Rocky after he cheated on her with her employee and shoe designer, Amina Muaddi.

Louis tweetd an apology on his Twitter page, saying that the rumours were fake.

The apology read, "I would like to formally apologise to all parties I involved with my actions and reckless tweets. I fully accept the consequences of my actions for my tweetes and any harm they caused."
