Between Mandana and Rimi, Bigg Boss 9's finally getting interesting
The house has finally been divided into two groups. Though for the viewer, this is not a new development in the house, but for the housemates, today was the first time when they openly acknowledged their allegiance with a particular group. For weeks we have been observing the blossoming friendship among the trio - Kishwer, Suyyash and Prince. Their crew has been extended by Rimi and Digangana's presence. The other team - Aman, Rochelle, Rishabh and Mandana, however, was in for a shock last night. Bigg Boss called Rimi to the confession room and asked her to nominate the worst player in the luxury budget task. Nominating Mandana, Rimi gave the reason for Mandana's ill health and refusal to participate. The next thing we knew, Mandana was asked to evict the house.
Many tears and group hugs later, poor Mandana who was relieved to be walking out of the house, soon found out that she was in fact not evicted. A secret room, that has become a fixture of the Bigg Boss house since last many seasons, was to host Mandana for a day. Here, she would watch the contestants privately and was required to nominate two contestants who she thought deserved to leave the house.
Little did Mandana know that inside the house, Bigg Boss would reveal her secret location to the housemates asking them to play along in a unique task. The contestants had to do everything possible to make an unassuming Mandana hate them enough to nominate them. The two nominated, would actually be safe from evictions that week. Rochelle, one of Mandana's closest companion in the house devised a plan to make her friend seem as if she was backstabbing her. Mandana, meanwhile was left in the secret room wondering - "Et tu Rochelle?"
While we may think that last night's episode was all about Mandana Karimi, it was not. A silent star has emerged as the biggest contender of the game. Rimi, is slowly being exposed by her actions. Her rather quiet nature is being questioned even by her friends. Rimi Sen, who has been a somewhat successful actor, is being accused of playing the character of a mute spectator who is slowly and stealthily stealing away the glory from the other housemates. She too now seems to be involved in house politics actively. Rochelle and Aman even interrogated her on her ideas of increasing her "bank balance" through her stay at the Bigg Boss house. Rimi obviously answered their queries by rolling her eyes, her signature move.
By now even the viewers have realised that there is more than meets the eye with Rimi Sen. For now, we will satisfy ourselves with more Mandana drama that will unfold tonight.
