Bigg Boss 9: Priya and Mandana's name calling, Rishabh bangs his head and more violence
This week's luxury budget task divided the contestants into two teams - thieves and cops. As the thieves go about stealing the hidden gems in the house, it's up to the cops to stop and arrest them. Simple, right? But trust the Bigg Boss contestants to make a mess out of this one too!
While the previous day ended with yet another inane discussion around Nora's "impact" on Prince's performance in the show, the next day was what brought all the real action.
As the luxury budget task entered its second day, it turned out to be violent, petty and downright appalling. There was collar grabbing, scratching and pulling-pushing, as the contestants went by performing their roles, all in the name of the task, of course.
When trying to steal, Rishabh escaped the jail by pushing Priya on the side, it was flagged as the first sign of "violence". It got uglier when on his next attempt, Rishabh tried to blindfold her with a cloth and in retaliation Priya grabbed his collar. Like seriously!
Next, as Keith and Nora tried stealing the diamonds, in all the running and chasing, Prince managed to get his cheek scratched. Yes, this wasn't just verbal bickering after all. Somewhere in the task, Rishabh also managed to bang his head with the door.
If this was a task with two teams, naturally there was some taunting and mudslinging, as we've come to expect from the "civilised" people in the house.
And leading from the front in this were Priya and Mandana, the two most disliked contestants of the show. As the two called each other all kinds of weird things - dragon, loser, chocolate thief, shameless etc - the audience was left wondering if the two girls were on national television or in kindergarten!
Eventually, the task was won by the cops team and what followed were various discussions among the housemates about their performances.
With the New Year here and the show fast inching towards the finale, here's hoping for mature fights, if any and a highly competitive last few weeks in the house.
