When Deepika Padukone proposed to Salman Khan and other Tamasha
The mark of a good teacher is to never give up on his students, no matter how difficult they maybe. And the mark of a good reality show host is to continue motivating the contestants no matter how high or low the TRPs may be. Salman Khan seems to have mastered both the roles with élan - he's the chiding teacher and guiding host, weekend after weekend and we've got to give it to Bhai for his consistent efforts in keeping us entertained, especially when the contestants have been anything but that!
While he continued his regular gyaan session this weekend as well - the one where he discusses the week's happening, singles out the contestants he doesn't like, lauds those whom he favours, asks them inane questions etc, etc - all eyes were on Deepika Padukone though as she came to the show to promote her next movie, "propose" to Salman Khan and speed date the male contestants. And even though Salman didn't say "yes", the contestants were more than eager to do as the lady demanded!
There was of course some taunt-exchange between Prince and Rishabh, as the boys did various things to impress Deepika including praising themselves and dissing the others. She also gave the contestants a chance of winning their weekly luxury budget, something they lost thanks to their dismal performance in the task, if only Rimi would let go of all her make-up products. Did she make the sacrifice for the sake of everyone else? Of course not! It's Rimi we're talking about after all! She won't lift a finger, let alone do something for anyone else as long as she's not eliminated.
Speaking of elimination, this week saw Aman leave the house. Rimi, whatever you're doing or not, it's clearly working big time!
There was something, or rather someone else that was brought upon by the weekend too. If there's one thing that Bigg Boss certainly is then that's persistent. No wonder that despite the low TRPs, Mr Bigg hasn't given up hope and is introducing one wild card entry after another. The latest to join the game is Indian-origin, Australian-living teacher Priya Malik who's famous for her participation in Bigg Brother Australia last year that resulted in her getting racially abused leading to even death threats. She certainly has the perfect resume for Bigg Boss and in her own words, she won't be getting along with Mandana, Rimi and Kishwer. But will she manage to rake in the much-needed eyeballs for the show? We'll find out soon!
