'Racist' Mandana and angry Nora: Christmas isn't merry in Bigg Boss 9
The fight for captaincy seems to be the highlight each week in the Bigg Boss house. We love a little competition between the contestants, it brings out the worst in them, but gives us plenty to talk about later.
This time Priya and Suyyash won the task and added four lakhs to the prize money. Prince, who had to bet on a "jodi" that would win a series of physically taxing tasks, was right in predicting that Suyyash and Priya would win the rounds.
Next, what stood before the contestants was the Double Trouble nomination. Every couple had to decide that which one of the jodidars would be nominated as one of the contenders for the captain's post.
Naturally, half of the partners were uninterested to give up a choice to run for captaincy. But no one was, perhaps, as reluctant as Rishabh and Rochelle, who brought up their management qualities and claimed to be better at leading a group than the other.
We have seen Rochelle desperately try to become the captain of the house, but all efforts have been in vain. In front of a stubborn Rishabh, she again found herself drifting away from the captaincy. Not only could the two not become captains, but they have both been included in the eliminations next week, where two housemates will be evicted from the house.
The two chosen for captaincy were Suyyash and Mandana. They had to hold onto a prop where the last one holding it would win. One would think that this task would go on for hours. But within minutes Mandana gave up and gifted captaincy to Suyyash. Many poked fun at Mandana for giving up every task she's assigned. But Bigg Boss was perhaps Mandana's harshest critic, almost scolding her for her behaviour.
The Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 actor is the most hated housemate yet again. By asking Priya to go back to Australia, she invited the ire of the housemates as well. Priya called Mandana a racist, telling her that she should know what it feels to be termed as an outsider.
With Christmas tomorrow, many aren't happy with their secret Santa gifts. Especially Nora, who decided to tell Rishabh how it wasn't cool of him to put notes written in Hindi on her bed. The note said that Rishabh would continue helping Nora even if she didn't need any, but Nora refused to take it in good spirit and tried to pick a fight with the ex-Splitsvilla participant.
This may be the season of joy and giving but inside the Bigg Boss house, the contestants are unapologetic about being selfish. We don't blame them, with finals only a few weeks away, it will be a fight to the finish.
