Bigg Boss 9: How bumpy rides get dirty with Priya Malik
As a viewer, we may all have wished for a dash of excitement in the house during the past few weeks. We had grown weary of seeing the same faces day after day. The monotony of the tasks and the house politics may have left us craving for the occasional fight to spice things up in the house and certainly brought down the TRPs. This week however, Bigg Boss gave us two new quirky contestants but also reminded us to be careful what we wish for.
Priya Malik isn't exactly the most likeable contestant inside the house. This is an understatement. Priya refuses to woo the viewers with her presence even outside the house. She is a hybrid who has Mandana’s ability to irritate, Kishwar’s power to scream on top of her voice and Rochelle’s overly enthusiastic nature. She has single handedly dissolved the groups inside the house and made it a Priya vs the housemates match. Digangana and Rishabh seem to be the only two who seem to understand her.
After crying reverse racism yesterday, Priya forgave Kanwaljeet today. Saying that as designer himself belonged to a minority (from the LGBTQ community), he needed to realise the need to be sensitive and considerate in his statements. Not long before forgiving one housemate, she picked a fight with another, or should we say ‘others'. Rochelle and Suyyash entered into a loud argument with Priya, telling her not to jump into people's conversations.
To rescue us from Priya's antics, Bigg Boss announced a new task. It involved a very uncomfortable car ride for the contestants. A car was parked in the courtyard of the house and contestants had to go grab a seat in it. Once boarded, they couldn't get off the car till Bigg Boss ordered them to do so. The person who would stay the longest would get a two week immunity.
The first to get out of the car was Rishabh, due to his own stupidity of keeping one foot outside the car. Here as well, Priya didn't refrain from giving her two bits of wisdom to Kishwar. Her constant bickering made the car ride uncomfortable for her co passengers. The most unhealthy moment happened when Priya decided to lower her pants and piss while still inside the car.
Kanwaljeet too tried to hog the limelight by carrying a colourful basket of fruits and ice to entice the hungry contestants in the house. But they collectively decided to ignore the poor old man. Rochelle however decided to ask him not to waste candles during his candlelit dip in the jacuzzi. He went inside the house and called her a "maindaki" or a toad and even questioned her abilities of becoming a Miss India.
The housemates need to gear up for a bumpy journey ahead together with plenty more surprises. Rumours have it that Keith Sequiera may return to the house and another favourite might exit.
