Waiting for Aamir Khan and Bollywood's pest control issues

Aamir Khan's weight loss project

If the photos from the Hridaynath Mangeshkar Awards held in Mumbai earlier this week are anything to go by, Aamir Khan is almost ready to start shooting Dangal again. The superstar had gained 25kg to play Mahavir Phogat, a wrestler in his next. After he finishing a large portion of the film that required him to be buffed, the actor took a four-month break to lose weight for the portions where he was required to look much younger.

About a fortnight ago, Aamir weighed about 82kg when he returned from a three-week break in the US. His six-hour fitness regime everyday included a combination of eight-mile walks at 6am, tennis, cycling, weights and swimming. He has another 10kg to lose before he can start shooting in May.

It's not just Aamir who is watching the scales closely. The film's crew has been patiently waiting for the last four months so it can get back to work. Most of them are praying that the perfectionist that he is, he sticks to the schedule so they can finish this film and move on to other work.

Love Games and the perfect boyfriend

Newbie Patralekha has a very supportive boyfriend in Rajkummar Rao. Last week, when Patralekha's sophomore film Love Games released, Rajkummar was at hand to lend her support. He landed at the media screening to gauge reactions. Rajkummar spent most of his time outside the theatre pacing and at the end of screening hechatted with the audience to find out what they thought.

A day later, the National Award-winner took to Facebook to encourage his girlfriend calling her a "winner". "Extremely proud of you," he wrote on her wall.

The couple set eyes on each other about four years ago at FTII in Pune. When they are not shooting, Patralekha and her beau are rarely apart. Whether it's shopping for groceries, working out or even getting blood tests, the couple is inseparable. Aww!

Termite tragedy

Something about termites makes them Bollywood's favourite excuse. Remember when in 2009 Hrithik Roshan moved into a five-star hotel in Juhu? This was when the Barbara Mori rumours were flying thick and fast. A newly married leading man seems to be following in Hrithik's footsteps. The brawly actor has been living in a hotel for almost two months since he returned from an outdoor shoot. Apparently, he also has termites in his sprawling sea-facing apartment.

While the A-lister maintains his long-distance marriage is on track and the couple even made a rare appearance together at a high-profile party this week; there is chatter among the hotel staff because his wife hasn't been spotted since he moved in. Meanwhile, his staff can't believe that the famously frugal actor is actually shelling out money to live in a hotel.
