Instagram bans Kanye West for 24 hours. Why?

Think Kanye West's selfie videos were the last rant you were going to see? Nope. It's a new day and we have a new Kanye rant... and this one may be the last for a while. So let's get into it but before that, if you missed what happened last, readKim Kardashian's boyfriend Pete Davidson reacts to Kanye West's attacks. Finally.

Also, fun fact: The rants started on February 13. It's March 17 today. It has been over a month. Moving on...

Firstly, Kim Kardashian voiced her thoughts on the recent conversation between Pete Davidson, her boyfriend and Kanye, her ex-husband. A source close to Kim told E!News that she is grateful for his presence. The source said, "He's [Pete] really been a great partner and has been there for her through all of this. It has been a very stressful time dealing with Kanye and coordinating the kids with him."

The insider also added that Kim is very proud of Pete for standing up for himself against Kanye's constant attacks.

"She's really thankful Pete is extremely understanding and chill, and is very happy he is sticking up for himself. She thinks it's complete nonsense how Kanye is acting, and enough is enough. She's so happy Pete spoke out [and] hopes Kanye can now move on," the source told E!News

OF COURSE, Kanye responded, and true to style, it was on Instagram.

He started off by posting a picture of North's backpack which features pins of Kanye, Kim and a green alien. Kanye captioned the post with, "This was on my daughters back pack when I was 'allowed' to see her last week. This is why I go so hard for my family. I am wired to protect my family at all cost. As the priest of my home Don’t worry Northy God is still alive. (sic)"

In a now-deleted comment, Kim wrote on the post, "Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school."

(Trigger warning: mention of paedophilia and drug use)

It gets worse now. Back in 2019, Pete was criticised for cracking a joke on having sex with babies during a stand-up show. On the show, Pete told a story about babysitting his friend's child.

At the time, the baby was teething and began sucking Pete's finger, to which Pete joked, "I don’t want to f— this baby, but he’s asking for it." (ugh)

Pete then added that he didn't want to actually have sex with any babies, but if he did, he'd choose his friend's child. (ugh x 2)

Kanye uploaded a screenshot of an article whose headline was, 'Pete Davidson enrages audience with jokes about having sex with a baby'.

The post was captioned with, "Yet another reason why SKETE gotta stay away from my children Oh and nobody noticed that he ain’t show up to SNL Because Mr. I can help you with meds had a mental breakdown after we ran him off the internet SKETE you not built for this I already blacked the Super Bowl out on you Apologize to your family for being in your family. (sic)"

He also posted a screenshot of a comment on his previous post that read, "The way Skete used Kim's marital status to address Kanye was a sneak diss towards her and she didn't even catch it."

Kanye captioned the screenshot with, "I'm really concerned that SKETE will get my kids mom hooked on drugs. He’s in rehab every 2 months."

Also, remember Dave Sirius, the comedian who posted Pete and Kanye's texts on his Instagram? Kanye uploaded a picture of him and captioned it with, "Come on Dave please help write some more culturally irrelevant jokes for SKETE You don’t have to have talent these days you just need a Hillary Clinton tattoo." (Pete has a Hillary Clinton tattoo)

At last, Kanye posted a still from his Eazy music video (you know, where he's standing over Pete's buried head) and teased fans with a caption that read, "Ya’ll ready for Coachella."

Well, Kim and Pete might be able to stomach all of Kanye's attacks but Instagram's parent company, Meta doesn't plan to. After his latest rant, Meta has now banned Kanye access to his Instagram account for 24 hours. That means Kanye will not be able to post, comment and send DMs on Instagram.

A spokesperson for Meta told TMZ that Kanye's recent posts "violated Instagram's policies on hate speech, harassment and bullying" and that if he continued to resort to such posts, further action will be taken.

The ban isn't just because of his attacks on Pete and Kim, but also due to the racist post he made on Trevor Noah. The talk show host spoke about Kanye's actions in his latest episode of The Daily Show and gave his opinion on it.

His opinion is surprisingly not just his opinion but an important viewpoint explained by him, a viewpoint that has been brought up repeatedly by users on Twitter and Instagram. Take a look here:

Trevor essentially warned viewers that the online fight between Kim and Kanye could get violent and that it was terrifying to watch. Seems like Kanye didn't like that either, as he posted images of Noah on his account with a caption that read, "All in together now... Koon baya my lord koon baya." The racist post has now been deleted. Here is what Kanye posted:

The term 'Koon', a racist slur, is defined as “the disparaging term used to refer to an African-American or any person of colour”. Koon Baya, according to Urban Dictionary, has been used to refer to black individuals who are anti-black and often act against the black community.

Will Kanye now keep quiet or like his good friend Donald Trump, completely lose access to Facebook and Instagram?

As Trevor perfectly explained, the world is now seeing one of the richest and powerful women being harrassed by a man and not being able to stop it.
