Kanye West demands apology from Billie Eilish over Astroworld tragedy. Internet reacts
Kanye West has a reputation for unnecessarily calling out 20-year-old women, and his latest victim is Billie Eilish. (Seems like Kanye did not learn his lesson after Taylor's Reputation era.)
Early this week, Billie halted a concert of hers to find and provide an inhaler to an onlooker struggling to breathe. Now, if you remember, one of Travis Scott's Astroworld concerts held on November 5, 2021 in Houston, Texas, was recently in the news. Almost 50,000 people attended the concert and a stampede followed, resulting in the death of 10 people.
Travis did not stop the concert while the stampede was taking place and then, even brought out Drake for the finale. People all across the internet condemned Travis for his irresponsibility and actions, forcing him to go silent on all his social media pages.
By the time he provided an apology, it was futile.
About 300 people were injured at the concert, out of which 25 were taken to the hospital. The ages of the 10 people who died were between 14 to 27, with the youngest being a nine-year-old child.
Billie's actions this week were interpreted as a 'diss' to Travis Scott especially when she told the crowd, "I wait for people to be okay before I keep going"... and Kanye West felt that it was his responsibilty to demand an apology from Billie over this.
The Donda singer, currently in the news for his divorce to Kim Kardashian, said on his Instagram, "COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN'T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM (sic)"

Billie replied on the same post, "Literally never said a thing about travis. Was just helping a fan."
