American model and socialite Hailey Bieber wants to have kids with husband Justin Bieber... but she is 'scared'. Hailey and Justin have been married for five years now.
Hailey, 26, and Justin Bieber, 29, are often asked about having kids.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Hailey opened up about having 'little Biebers', and why she is 'scared'.
What Hailey Bieber said about having kids
- Hailey Bieber admitted that she really wants kids, and she opened up about her reservations of having little Biebers.
- Hailey said she is worried and anxious about the scrutiny her child could face because it would have famous parents.
- In the interview with The Sunday Times, the Rhode skincare founder said, "I want kids so bad but I get scared. It's enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can't imagine having to confront people saying things about a child."
- She went on to say, "I literally cry about this all the time... We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe."
In August 2022, Hailey Bieber told Harper's Bazaar that both marriage and having kids takes a lot of effort. Even though she is married to her best friend, both she and Justin Bieber put in effort to make their marriage work.
- About having kids, she said, "And then I know eventually, when kids come in the picture, that's going to be a whole other season of navigating how to make that work."
In 2020, on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Justin Bieber said, "I am going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out. I'd love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it's her body and whatever she wants to do. ... I think she wants to have a few."
Hailey's 2023 has been bumpy
- Hailey Bieber spoke about her mental health on Instagram earlier this year.
- She posted Instagram stories where she said, "But truthfully since 2023 started, I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I've ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile to say the least."
- She continued, "That being said, let's keep being there for one another. Let's be there for loved ones and friends and family and strangers. Let's just be there for people. Let's keep showing up for each other even when it's hard. We're better together."
- This year she's also been at the centre of some drama with Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
- Last year, Hailey suffered a mini stroke that led to her discovering that she had a hole in her heart.
