Lover 2.0? Diljit Dosanjh and Taylor Swift got 'touch touch' it seems, and memes are filling up Twitter

We all know that Taylor Swift is currently going through a rebound phase after breakup with her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn. Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh, the internationally renowned Punjabi pop singer, has always been associated with Hollywood girls, from mentioning the Kardashians in his songs to commenting on their posts.
In a surprising turn of events for fans of both singers, a Twitter handle called 'Breaking News British Columbia' tweeted that the two were spotted at a restaurant in Vancouver together, 'being touch touch'.
Of course, the Twitter account seems to run more on parody than actual news, but this tweet won Twitter.
Diljit reacts
Apart from his songs, Diljit is also known for his witty sense of humour, which he often shares with his fans through his tweets. Naturally, Diljit responded to the tweet with a tweet, creating quite a buzz. However, he later deleted it.
Here's his now-deleted tweet:
"Yaar Privacy Naam Di v koi Cheez Hundi Aa," he wrote, which translates to: "There is something called privacy!"
On Instagram, Diljit reacted to an 'imagined conversation' between him and Taylor, with a ton of ROFL emojis and 'OMG'.
Internet gets to work
While some Twitter users didn't believe the news and laughed it off, others demanded a new version of Lover, since both artists have songs with the same title (we love both the songs equally; so good for us). Additionally, there are Taylor fans who are fervently praying that Taylor visit India.
