Have a look at the latest trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3:

The third season of The Mandalorian will follow Pedro Pascal’s titular bounty hunter as he travels to Mandalore to redeem his past transgressions with his companion Grogu. But that isn’t the only Pascal content we’re recieving as of late.

HBO’s long-awaited adaptation for Naughty Dog’s award-winning videogame, The Last Of Us, just premiered yesterday. The series follows Pascal’s Joel and Bella Ramsey’s Ellie - two survivors of a fungus-based apocalypse, as they journey across the United States to find a group of resistance fighters known as the Fireflies.

Here’s a quick look at HBO’s The Last Of Us:

Owing to his latest projects, Pascal has slowly become the talk of the town on the internet with many raising the Chilean-American actor to 'Daddy' status.

For the unacquainted, the term has shed its innocent father-figure connotations in place of more suggestive undercurrents. Now, birthed from some weird Electra-complex-induced Gen-Z slang, the implications of the word ‘Daddy’ can be best described with a few names: David Bekham, Idris Elba, Mads Mikkelsen… you get the gist.

The boost in Pascal’s popularity is primarily thanks to his charming and charismatic personality, which has endeared him to audiences both on and off-screen. He's a total goofball and he's always down to have a good time. He's always cracking jokes, making everyone laugh and comes off as a really humble and down-to-earth guy (which just makes him that much more attractive).

Moreover, have you seen the man? His rugged, rough-around-the-edges look and killer fashion sense just screams ‘Daddy’. He often appears in public looking sharp and stylish, which has led to a number of memes and fan art being created in his honor. Additionally, his ability to pull off a variety of different looks, from rugged and rough to polished and refined, has only added to his appeal.

The Internet’s newfound obsession with Pedro Pascal comes as no surprise. But it's not just his looks that make him a ‘Daddy’. He's got talent too. You've seen him in Game of Thrones as Oberyn Martell. You’ve seen him as Javier Pena in Narcos.

He's also been in a bunch of other movies and shows including Wonder Woman 1984 and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, where he’s always brought his A-game. His versatility as an actor across the years has made Pascal so much more than just a pretty face.

Besides, his choice of roles in Hollywood all but suggest the obvious. Father-figure to Grogu in The Mandalorian, father to Allistair in Wonder Woman 1984 and most recently, father-figure to Ellie in The Last Of Us. It’s like he’s laid it all out for the Internet to eat up.

Pascal has also been vying for the position among his colleagues. Fellow actor and friend, Oscar Isaac has been in serious competition for ‘Daddy’ status on the internet with Pascal.

In a lie detector test interview with Vanity Fair, Pascal claimed that he was actually a “bigger daddy” than Isaac, settling the debate once and for all.

“I’m older than him! Although he’s a real daddy. He’s got kids and I don’t. But ‘daddy’ is a state of mind, you know what I’m saying?”

Pascal’s strong online presence has also contributed to his new internet image. He has had the natural ability to connect with his fans through social media, which has helped to build a strong and dedicated fan base. He has often shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos from his projects, as well as personal thoughts and musings, which has helped to build a sense of intimacy and closeness between him and his fans.

Pascal's multifaceted roles, charming personality and strengthened connection with the fans have all contributed to his status as the Internet's ‘Daddy’. His devoted fanbase and the appreciation of his work and personal style, makes him one of the most popular actors on the internet today.

In all, Pascal is the whole package. He's got the looks, the talent, and the personality to make him the Internet’s ultimate ‘Daddy’. If you haven't been crushing on him already, it's only a matter of time before you succumb to the same fate as the rest of us.

You can watch Pascal in HBO’s The Last Of Us on Disney+ Hotstar and in The Mandalorian Season 3, which premieres March 1 on Disney+ Hotstar.
