Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's Gadar 2 is currently in its third week of theatrical run and continues to break records at the box office. Initial assessments by industry tracker Sacnilk reveal that the film amassed around Rs 17 crore on its third Sunday, August 27, inching closer to the remarkable milestone of Rs 500 crore.
Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, serves as the sequel to the 2001 hit Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, featuring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma. Furthermore, Gadar 2 went head-to-head with Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl 2, premiering on August 25. The film achieved Rs 16 crore on its opening Sunday, accumulating a total collection of Rs 40 crore so far.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's Jailer, released on August 10, just a day before Gadar 2, is on track to surpass Rs 600 crore at the global box office.
With an initial collection of Rs 450.80 crore in the first week and an additional Rs 124.18 crore in the second week, the movie's total collection stands at an impressive Rs 574.98 crore within its initial two weeks.
