The sixth birthday of Aaradhya Bachchan turned out to be a truly remarkable occasion, as apart from the Bachchan family, the digital media celebrated it in an unforgettable way.
Stopping short of cutting cakes and decorating their newsrooms with balloons on the occasion, media outlets flooded the digital space with stories and photo galleries of Aaradhya, and proved that she is a “darling of the Bachchan family” and she is a “princess straight out of a Disney film”.
The day started with the story of Amitabh Bachchan taking to Twitter to wish his granddaughter on this occasion. Posting a picture of Aaradhya holding her old picture, Big B tweeted at night, “When she will remind us how much she has grown... Aaradhya on her 6th...!!”
Reporting that should have been enough, but no, the media didn’t stop there. They went overboard, rummaged through their photo collections for the cutest photos of Aaradhya Bachchan and left no stones unturned to impress the fact that they are obsessed with Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, for no reason at all.

The writer selected five pictures of Aaradhya and compared those with Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, Aurora and Belle. And the piece even wonders whether Aaradhya’s favourite colour is pink as she is often spotted wearing pink dresses.

It was hard for The Indian Express to forget how many times it became speechless by the adorable looks of the “cutie”, and so it came up with “Happy Birthday, Aaradhya Bachchan: 10 times the cutie won us over with her awww-dorable looks”.
As the party started, India.com could not contain its excitement and posted “Aaradhya Bachchan In This Picture Shared By Daddy Abhishek Bachchan From Her Birthday Party Indeed Looks Like A Princess”. They simply cannot get over the fact that she looks like a princess.
The day-long drama is not all about cuteness. It has equal proportion of emotion also. In NDTV’s “To Aaradhya Bachchan, 6 Today, With Love From Grandfather Amitabh Bachchan”, India Today’s “Aaradhya Bachchan turns 6: This is how Big B wished granddaughter on her birthday”, an emotional narrative could be observed.
According to reports, this year the Bachchans didn’t celebrate any birthdays on account of the death of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai. But Aishwarya ensured that there should be some celebrations on Aaradhya’s birthday and so invitations were sent out to “celebrities with kids, and Aaradhya’s friends”.
This burst of celebration was not unexpected. In the past few days, there have been stories on what the Bachchan family was planning for their daughter’s birthday. Revealing no concrete plan, however, the stories speculated that there will be a theme-based party at Prateeksha, the old residence of the Bachchan family, as it happens every year.
