Ranbir-Alia Wedding is done, but here are 7 rules all Indian shaadis need

Now that one of our favourite celeb couples, RaAlia (Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt) are all married up, it only makes sense for us to imagine what their wedding looked like (since we've only begun seeing the official couple pictures and videos).

ICYMI, here, take a look at Alia and Ranbir on their big day:

Now, while we may not be able to ask our staff to put stickers on their phone to avoid photos being 'leaked', we certainly can have some wedding expectations and rules for our big day.

So, here are 7 rules/expectations that we hope we can put in place for our wedding:

(and not lose the battle to our family

1. NO KIDS RUNNING AROUND

'Why are they running around? What are they chasing? When will this end?' are only some of the questions that every single adult at the wedding wonders and fails to find an answer to. (please we're all tired of watching Bhaag Milkha Bhaag playing out in front of us at a closed venue)

2. DO YOU SEE MY EX?

Ah the dreaded ex-partners and the never ending fear that they will show up at the wedding. Any guesses on whether someone sang Channa Mereya at Ranbir-Alia's wedding (did he sing?)?

3. STICK TO THE CHOREOGRAPHY

Just imagine, all the effort, all the coordination, all the audio and video editing you did, all going down the drain because that one random cousin (who you were basically forced to add in because of your mom) forgot their steps and is now messing up everyone else's choregraphy.

On behalf of every person who has ever been a wedding dance choregrapher, this is the kind of coordination we want:

4. DULHAN HO, SHARMAO (NO, PLEASE)

Whispering, 'dulhan ho, sharmao' to the bride or going to gossip with other guests about the bride not acting shy in front of her in-laws, not only ruins the wedding's happy atmosphere but also sends the bride on a guilt trip.

But if an older member of the family really wants you to act coy, we suggest using this foolproof method:

(maybe Alia took cues from her sister-in-law and did the same!

5. LET THE BRIDE'S LEHENGA BE ONE OF A KIND

Wedding = dressing up as fancy as you can. But a key thing guests tend to forget is that it is the bride and groom's day and that they are supposed to stand out in the crowd.

Sometimes, our love for dressing up takes over and we end up wearing the same coloured lehenga/sari as the bride, or are more heavily decked up in jewellery than her.

On that note, were you a fan of Alia's pastel Sabya sari?

6. DRINK ONLY AS MUCH AS YOUR CAPACITY IS

You know what really kills the wedding vibe? When Mausaji and Phuphaji drink a little more alcohol than their liver can take and start arguing. Simply put, drink only as much alcohol as your body allows, and don't start fist-fights at the new couple's most important day.

Because this is exactly how we want to see Mausaji and Phuphaji at the wedding:

Lastly and the most annoying,

7. AUR AB TOH AGLA TUMHARA NUMBER HAI

A signature dialogue by every older family member that the unmarried wedding guests have to hear. While we haven't been able to find the sweetest yet most savage response to this question, we can only hope that the unmarried attendees of Ranbir and Alia's wedding didn't have to awkwardly stand around, hearing someone say, 'aur agla toh beta tumhara number hain, kya plan hai?'

And now that we are done, don't forget to thumka away because one of our favourite celeb couples is now married!
