5 things Salman Khan can do in jail to while away his time
It is always a big day when a celebrity is sentenced to spend some quality time in a prison. The latest here being none other than "Bhai" Salman Khan. Salman was convicted in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case and sentenced to five years in jail. He was also slapped with a fine Rs 10,000 as penalty. His bail application is due for hearing tomorrow, April 6.
For a man who is used to spending his time in the plush interiors of his home or at work shooting - no, not blackbucks - his next movie, or working on his muscles in a gym, the one night, that Salman will spend in jail will provide him ample free time to do something new.
Here are five things he can do:
1) Introspect
The man has had one too many run-ins with the law for all kinds of reasons. Perhaps, the minimum one day that he will spend in jail, in case he gets bail tomorrow, can provide him ample quality time to sit and reflect on his past and wonder where he went wrong. Maybe it will help him steer clear of the law for the rest of his life. In case, just in case, he does not get bail tomorrow, he will have ample time to sit and reflect on his past life and plan out his future. Salman has spent time the Jodhpur Central Jail earlier as well. Maybe, he can reignite his bond with the mosquitoes of the jail all over again.
2) Break his own push-ups record
He's a man who goes to the gym. All those muscles weren't built on some movie set or the other. Maybe, for want of anything else, he can take off his shirt, since he's so used to doing it in movies, and have a go at breaking his own record of push-ups. If he doesn't get bail tomorrow, he will have more time to keep breaking his record one after the other.
3) Meet fellow celebrity prisoners
By dint of being in the same barracks as Salman, the rest of the prisoners will automatically get the celebrity tag, after all, it's not every day that Bhai visits the jail. Think of how many prisoners will be able to tell tales of how they spent time with Bhai once. Or, maybe Salman can meet up with Asaram Bapu and they can discuss some spiritual matters.
4) Take notes for his next movie
"Tiger jail main hai", perhaps that can be the name for his next sequel for which he can get story ideas from his stay in jail. Maybe the other prisoners can act as co-scriptwriters with Bhai and they can also get a teensy share of the revenue from the earnings of the movie.
5) Entertain the prisoners
Bhai can deliver a solo performance in the jail for all the prisoners by reciting some of his famous dialogues and later posing for selfies with and signing autographs etc for the rest of the inmates. A full-house guaranteed!And in case he does not get bail tomorrow, Bhai can take up wood carving and maybe the first thing he can carve out is a wooden blackbuck and hope that Asaram Bapu can, like the old sage of folklore, bring the blackbuck to life and then keep it as a pet and take care of it.
