HumourJai mata di: An ode to sabsey achhe din of Vedic age
- Pity the Vedic days didn't last,
- The Brahmins had such a blast.
- Upper castes too did have a dream,
- But the Brahmins got the cream.
-
- We ate all we wanted,
- Even beef, which we flaunted.
- Even lower castes ate meat,
- Nowadays quite a feat.
-
- The Brahmins made the rules,
- But spared us, not being fools.
- Upper castes lived the best,
- While outcastes lived off the rest.
-
- Now clothes maketh the man,
- Who roars like a lion can.
- Memories of everlasting leaders,
- Have hardly any readers.
-
- Move aside all other PMs,
- And even Delhi CMs.
- There's a new Raja, loud and alive,
- Under whose million promises all will thrive.
-
- It's a new dawn, a new day.
- Have zillions of vows come to stay?
- Classes, castes all step aside,
- Now the 56 inch chest will ride.
