Direct Benefit to All: 42% Indians benefited from BJP's welfare schemes. They paid Modi back with their votes

Reportedly 60 crore people voted. And 25 crore were apparently beneficiaries of the Modi govt's welfare schemes. Do the math.

The nation has spoken and the voice that has emerged the loudest and clearest from the din has asserted — ‘Chowkidaar imaandar hai’.

Of the 60 crore people who voted in the 2019 General Election, as many as 25 crore — or 42% — were beneficiaries of the various schemes that were started under the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.

Be it the Ujjwala scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana or the Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana, people across the country reaped direct benefits of the schemes. They have paid back Modi with their votes.

The Ujjwala scheme has been widely appreciated as the Census of 2011 showed that nearly 12.1 crore households used traditional stoves (chulha) in India. Out of 27 crore households, only 13 crore had LPG connections when the BJP government took over in May 2014. After that, over 12 crore households have been added in barely four and a half years of the Modi dispensation, which is hugely commendable.

All of India’s 5,97,464 inhabited villages were electrified in the last five years. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan 9.56 crore toilets were constructed. These toilets benefited women who had to wait till sundown to answer nature’s call or wake up before sunrise for the same.

Even far-flung states such as Manipur witnessed the commencement of construction of the 141-metre high Noney rail bridge, the highest rail bridge in India.

The massive victory that the BJP is soaring towards is a direct result of the welfare schemes it rolled out, the cleanliness it ensured, the roads it constructed, the toilets it built and the villages it electrified. This is truly a story of direct beneficiaries, all the way.
