Trump will make America great again with sexual assault, lies and audiotape

The size of his hands, his flowing blond hairdo, his offensive, crass and cringeworthy jokes - US Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has made headlines throughout the campaign - not just for his racist, hate-provoking statements, but also for his bank balance and physical attributes. Donald Trump doesn't believe in being politically correct. He claims it is a luxury American politicians can't afford. On last count, the real estate tycoon-cum-TV celebrity was worth 3.7 billion dollars.

Trump, however, claims his net worth is in excess of 10 billion dollars - which the "dishonest" media likes to underestimate. He doesn't feel the need to check himself while talking about his assets. When I say assets, it is more than his bank account. Here's a look at some of the biggest gaffes by Republican Presidential nominee:

He's known for shooting from his mouth: If anyone thought Trump was the kind of guy who believed in thinking before talking, they're obviously giving him more credit than he deserves. Unlike President Barack Obama, who thinks too much perhaps. Not only has he threatened to challenge the verdict if he loses, Trump has also used this opportunity to insult the President.

This, of course, wasn't the first time Trump was targeting Barack Obama. It started in 2012, Trump threatened to expose the President: "An extremely credible source has called my office and told me that Barack Obama's birth certificate is fraud."

He admitted his mistake in September this year, reversing himself on an issue that had propelled him into American politics five years ago. Trump has, in the past, made all kinds of allegations against Obama - including some very racist ones. This tweet from him had the Democrats seeing red - in the early stages of campaigning: "Our great African-American President hasn't exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore."

When it comes to making racist jibes, Trump literally takes the cake. His call for a complete shutdown of Muslims entering America drew a big thumbs down from liberals and democrats across the US. And its not just Muslims; the Mexicans too have been on Trump's firing line.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists...and some, I assume, are good people," he was heard saying at the Republican convention.

Like everything else, Trump has offered an easy solution to fix the Mexico problem.

"We're going to have a border... we're going to build a wall and its going to be a serious wall... and you know what Mexico is going to pay for the wall. I'm a business guy, I've done hundreds of great deals. We're going to get Mexico to build the wall... if it doesn't... you can all come back here and I'll apologise," he said, when called to explain his statements by a news network.

While his plan to build a wall may have got him a thumbs-up from many a Republican supporter - Trump's 2005 audio recording released by the Washington Post - where he's heard boasting about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women - has earned him the rebuke of democrats and republicans alike. Here are the highlights of the transcript released by the Washington Post:

"I moved on her, and I failed. I'll admit it."

"I did try and f--- her. She was married."

"And I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, "I'll show you where they have some nice furniture."

"I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn't get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she's now got the big phony tits and everything. She's totally changed her look."

"You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful - I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait."

"And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything."

"Grab them by the p---y. You can do anything."

Trump tried to fix things with a clarification, but the damage had been done. His statement expressing regret made matters worse as it opened a Pandora's box where old lawsuits, sexist and lewd comments and gestures from his past were splashed all over the web.

Several women, who, for years, had not shared stories of how they had been assaulted by the billionaire, started coming out in the open and sharing their trauma. Jessica Leeds - now 74 - gave interviews saying three decades ago, when she was sitting next to Trump on a flight, he sexually assaulted her. And Leeds isn't the only one. Former Miss Utah Temple Taggart claims Trump kissed her on the mouth and made her uncomfortable at the rehearsal for the Miss USA pageant. This was followed by another incident - where he called her to Trump towers to discuss a modelling contract with her.

Tasha Dixon, who participated in the Miss USA pageant as Miss Arizona in 2001 claims, as the owner of the pageant, Trump would frequently walk in on the contestants while they were naked or changing. A former writer for People magazine, Natasha Stoynoff wrote a first person account describing how Trump cornered her inside a room at his Florida residence in 2005 where she had gone to interview him and his wife.

He reportedly assaulted her and then told her they would be having an affair soon.

After initially apologising for his 2005 tape, Trump went on to dismiss all allegations of sexual assault. Trump's first wife Ivana Trump had, in 1989, in a deposition under oath stated that he had violently attacked her and raped her. In 1997 - Jill Harth - wife of Trump's business associate - filed a lawsuit accusing him of multiple acts of attempted rape. More recently, an anonymous "Jane Doe" has filed a federal lawsuit accusing Trump of raping her 1994 - when she was 13 years old. The trail is slated to begin in December this year.

Often referred to as racist, xenophobic, sexist and now even accused of sex offences - Trump claims he's the best bet for America but is he really? I would have put together his 10 biggest gaffes - but decided 10 is too small a number.

Trump hasn't just been accused of sexual assault by multiple women, he has also hit headlines for making sexually-inappropriate comments about his own daughter. He's made the race to the White House entertaining - if nothing else.

Trump's decision to throw his hat in the ring has resulted in a flurry of his old videos circulating on social media. A video from 2007 shows

Trump trouncing WWE boss Vince McMahon after a wrestler backed by him beats a McMahon-backed fighter.

Of late, his spars with actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell have left many wondering what the two have against each other. Even as the Republican nominee for the White House, Trump has gone on record to call Rosie fat, ugly and unattractive. Fox news anchor Megyn Kelly - who dared to question Trump on his sexist and demeaning comments on women - recently found herself on the receiving end of more hate.

When questioned about his angry back and forth with Kelly on another network, Trump called her a lightweight and said she was getting angry as she was going through her menstrual cycle. And this wasn't the first time Trump was lashing out at a journalist.

In fact, he has accused the media of not just misrepresenting his popularity, but also called them a bunch of scavengers.

He is crass, self-obsessed and obviously his own biggest fan. If you had to count the number of times he compliments himself in every speech, you'd run out of fingers. This is no foot-in-the-mouth, even though Republicans would wish it were. Here's a guy who has lived his life in the limelight - making outrageous statements to win TRPs and indulging in ridiculous stunts.

He claims he's got a foolproof plan to fight terrorism, fix the economy and everything that's wrong with the world and America. Don't know about you, but I'm surprised he's made it so far.
