6 times Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the world fall in love with him
As the war between Ukraine and Russia began last week, the world’s eyes are on two state heads these days: Vladimir Putin of Russia, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine. While many are familiar with Putin, the long-term Russian President, many are just discovering who the Ukrainian leader is.
Before becoming the President of Ukraine, Zelenskyy was an actor and comedian. In one of his shows named Servant of the People which aired from 2015-2019, he played the role of the President of Ukraine. After gaining huge popularity on the show, in 2019, his President role transferred from reel to real. And like that, he became the President of Ukraine in 2019.
The comedian turned politician is now being referred to as a real-life hero for his actions during wartime. And this is not the only reason for which the world is praising him. Many light moments of Zelenskyy are going viral on social media. Here, we have listed some of these.

1. HE IS A PART OF THE WAR
Unlike other leaders who jump to a different country or state to ensure their safety during adversity, the Ukrainian President is right there, in the war zone.
Zelenskyy posted a video with the Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and other officials, in which he can be seen saying, “We are all here, defending our independence, our state. It will continue to be so. Glory to our defenders, both men and women.”
His presence on the streets is not just uplifting for the people of Ukraine, but winning hearts on the Internet too.

2. THE PRESIDENT IS NOT AN ICON, SAYS ZELENSKYY
Another incident shared by a journalist tells the story when Zelenskyy asked lawmakers not to place his picture in their offices.
The Ukrainian President in 2019 urged the lawmakers not to hang his photo because according to him the President is not an icon, an idol or a portrait.
“Hang your kids' photos instead, and look at them each time you are making a decision,” Zelenskyy said.

3. A PERFECT DANCER
Old videos of Zelenskyy are being widely shared over the internet as appreciation for him.
In one of the viral videos, he can be seen dancing like a pro. And the Internet is loving him even more.

4. HE IS SUCH A COMMON MAN
Just like every other Instagram user, Zelenskyy posted a picture of his first workout of 2022. Just like we all do during the initial days of January in order to fulfill our New Year resolution.

5. REEL TO REAL INCIDENTS
A clip from his acting career went viral on Twitter a few days ago. In the clip, he comments on world leaders and how they function.
“Why do our politicians come to power and make the same mistakes? It’s because they are mathematicians. The only thing they know is how to divide, add and multiply their own wealth," he said in the clip from the show.

6. HUMOUR ON POINT
Zelenskyy was a well-known comedian before landing in politics. These days, another video of a comedy act by him is winning praise online.
Twitterati is loving this one too.
