There is no doubt that the fashion label Miu Miu is known for making headlines with its bizarre and eccentric collections on the runway and in stores. This time, it's a pair of 'embroidered silk and wool panties' priced at Rs 4.6 lakh that have left social media in an itch (quite literally).
On September 25, Miu Miu took to their Instagram to announce that their 'crystal embroidery panties are now available on their websites'. These undergarments were actually part of their Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2023 collection.
And as expected, Miu Miu is charging a hefty price for it, and people are not happy.
Miu Miu is charging USD 5,600 (Rs 4.6 lakh) for their embroidered silk and wool panties; which, by the way, are available in opal and golden crystals.

Another pair of 'shorts' (which looks like a pair of panties) has a belt too. This special undergarment with belt, which Miu Miu calls Corduroy Shorts, is selling at USD 1,100 or Rs 91,500.

Soon after the post, Miu Miu faced a lot of backlash for it, and many users on their feed commented that they can 'feel the itch' or 'such a stupid design! I’m actually offended by the lack of common sense.'
Check out some reactions:

However, some fashionistas also came out to defend this expensive undergarment, saying that it can be 'styled' or that it's only for the runway.

Will you pay Rs 4.6 lakh for them?
It seems like someone did:
