Bigg Boss 11 blog: Why the show is only about Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta in the final week

To spice things up one last time ahead of the grand finale on Sunday, January 14, Bigg Boss sent ex-contestant Arshi Khan inside the house to conduct a fun game of "meanness".

While the game flopped on Tuesday as the contestants were not ready be mean enough to come through the task with flying colours, it was again clear that the finale week, too, like the initial weeks, will be all about Vikas Gupta and Shilpa Shinde.

Meanwhile, Vikas Gupta stirred up a hornet's nest by recounting the votes that evicted contestant Luv Tyagi received from audience in Vashi mall. Vikas alleged that Luv had fudged the numbers.

Did Luv cheat?

The recounting episode unfolded as the ballot boxes were still lying inside the house and Vikas picked up the box containing votes received by Luv and questioned whether there were 393 votes, as claimed by Luv.

Yes, the number came across as surprising as Vikas, despite his influence in the television industry, was ahead of Luv by only 35 votes. The counting took place on Sunday and Luv was evicted as he received the lowest number of votes.

In Tuesday's episode Vikas and Puneesh started recounting the paper ballots as they both doubted that Luv had received 393 votes. It soon emerged that he got only 293, a hundred less than what Luv had claimed. The narrow margin between Vikas and Luv might have upset Vikas so much that he could not get over it and dug up the issue. It was also surprising that the contestants were asked to count their own votes and the ballot boxes were still there inside the house. It is also not clear whether all ballot boxes were there, or Luv's box was left there as part of a scripted controversy.

Luv issues statement of clarification

After the episode was telecast, there was a storm on social media which compelled Luv Tyagi to issue a statement on his Instagram account.

"I was watching Bigg Boss and came to know that my vote count was 293, not 393. I don't know how this happened as it was 393 when I counted. They are saying that I cheated. But then, I could have inflated the number over 400. Akash had told me that Vikas received over 400 votes. It's okay if they are saying I cheated, but it was not out of any deliberate plan, because I knew that I would be eliminated," Luv Tyagi was heard saying in the video.

Will Akash be evicted mid-week?

While voting lines were open for all finalists - Shilpa Shinde, Vikas Gupta, Hina Khan, Puneesh Sharma and Akash Dadlani from Monday, speculations are rife that this voting might lead to a mid-week eviction, as only four contestants will reach the finale. In that case, chances are high that Akash Dadlani will bid adieu to the house.

Who is the meanest of all?

The housemates agreed to crown Akash Dadlani with the "meanest" title following which Bigg Boss gave the housemates a task to surpass Akash in meanness, appointing Arshi as the judge. Hoever, the contestants refused to be mean to each other.
