News of the Asian economic slowdown and the consequent downturn for the Indian Rupee, it seems, have got the goat of two of the most vocal among our Twitterati. Writer and sometime dance show judge, Chetan Bhagat, had a head-on collision with the poet and Aam Aadmi Party member Kumar Vishwas, when the latter, in a bid to offset Bhagat's 140-character wisdom on economic reforms, current slump, emerging market stocks and the Rupee, retweeted three-year-old tweets by the Half-Girlfriend author, perhaps to demonstrate how governments come and go, CB's grievances stay the same.
Rupee at 68 isn't good news. Lot of it explained by global battering of emerging markets, but we can do a lot better with economic reforms.
— Chetan Bhagat (@chetan_bhagat) January 22, 2016
No political party able to do reforms as the moment they do, they start losing elections. Then we blame same party for not bringing reforms.

Seeing the above, Vishwas RTéd some of Bhagat's older tweets.
The rupee is collapsing and neither the economist PM nor the first family has anything to say about it.

Rupee at 65. Shows how fragile the economy is. Will take years to bring confidence back. Bad times ahead.

Vishwas persisted at his online frolic, which he also punctuated with generous doses of "emojis".
Apna Hi Saya (RT) Dekh Ke Tum Jaan e Jahan Ghabra Gaye Abhi To Ye Pahli Manzil Hai Abhi Se Hi Kyon Sharma Gaye! :P Gana suno @chetan_bhagat

Sick and tired of AAP supporters' constant egging on to say something negative about Modi else we will abuse you and label you a bhakt.

Bhagat and Vishwas have become quite the Twitter frenemies. About a month back, the duo had clashed on Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's announcement on the odd-even policy to curb the national capital menacing air pollution.
Draconian, undemocratic, not implementable, not a real solution, bizarre. Odd even cars kind of posturing politics should be avoided. Please

The clash of the Twitter titans left some slightly befuddled but most found the mild altercation perfectly hilarious.
