1. INDIA’S COVID-19 SITUATION
India has reported fewer cases this morning than the previous day. A total of 1,49,394 new Covid cases were logged on February 4 morning. The country’s positivity rate fell from 10.99% to 9.27%. The weekly positivity remains at 12.03%.
The death toll still remains significantly high. 1,072 Covid-related deaths were reported yesterday.

3. FEWER CASES IN DELHI AND MUMBAI
DELHI: The national capital has reported fewer cases yesterday than Wednesday. From 3,028 cases, the daily tally has dropped to 2,668. In terms of deaths, 13 fatalities were reported.
MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA: Similarly, Mumbai’s daily caseload has decreased. The city has reported 827 fresh cases yesterday.

4. KERALA WORST HIT
Kerala accounts for almost 11% of the total deaths reported in the country. However, the state reported fewer cases on Thursday but the numbers still remain worrisome. 42,677 new Covid cases were reported on February 3 in the southern state.

As per the data available, 65% of children between 15-18 years of age have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
