2. COVID IS MUCH MORE THAN COLD AND COUGH
New data has revealed that 65% of people know at least one individual who has experienced Long Covid.
In Long Covid, the symptoms last for a few weeks and even months after confirmed Covid-19 infection. After the initial symptoms of the virus, Long Covid leads to fatigue, brain fog, pain in joints, shortness of breath, heart ailments in some and more.
The survey has also mentioned that around 8% of Long Covid patients had permanent Covid-induced health issues.
Therefore, after testing negative, it is crucial to watch out for symptoms of Long Covid to prevent serious complications. Symptoms of Long Covid should be reported immediately.

4. NO RT-PCR, QUARANTINE FOR INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS
The government has revised travel guidelines for international travellers. Starting February 14, all foreign travellers will fill self-declaration forms online and mention their travel history of the past 14 days. They must also upload a negative RT-PCR test not older than 72 hours.
Travellers can also upload their full vaccination certificate instead of an RT-PCR.
This relaxation will be only given to passengers from 72 countries with recognised vaccination programs. These countries include Canada, Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Qatar, Australia, New Zealand, and some European nations.

5. PROTEIN VACCINE FOR KIDS BELOW 12 YEARS: NOVAVAX
Novavax has announced that its vaccine against Covid-19 is safe for kids between 12 and 17 years of age. Novavax provides a protein-based vaccine that is different from other shots available. Earlier, WHO gave approvals to Novavax vaccine for adults in Britain, Europe and some other countries. US Food and Drug Administration is still reviewing this vaccine.
