Some call this time the best time of the year. Well, that's true for every year, including this sham of one. 2020 has been nothing like your usual year. But the holiday season is a constant every year, no matter how bad or good it is. As we step into the weekend before Christmas, and into the oversized sweaters, there's no better way to drown your worries than in some steaming Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.

Since going to that nearby Starbucks to have a cup of that Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate is not a great option this year (stay at home!), here's how you can do it yourself.

What you'll need:

Whole milk: 400 ml (1 3/4 cups)

Dark chocolate: 100 gm

Caramel: 1 tablespoon

Sea salt: Half a teaspoon

For garnishing:

Whipped cream: As per taste

Caramel sauce: As per taste

Dark chocolate shard: 80 gm or as per taste

How to:

In a saucepan, pour the milk and heat it over a medium flame.

Stir in the rest of the ingredients: the dark chocolate, caramel and sea salt.

Keep stirring till it is smooth.

Take the saucepan off the heat.

Pour into a tall glass and garnish with the whipped cream, caramel sauce and the dark chocolate shards.

That's all.
