India beat Australia by 27 runs in the second T20 at Melbourne on Friday, giving Dhoni's team an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, both of whom have hit a rich vein of form in the current tour, came good today as well. While Rohit compiled 60 off 47 balls, Kohli was more ruthless with a 33-ball unbeaten 59, an innings which included seven boundaries and a six. They helped India put up a healthy total of 184/3.
When it came to the Indian bowlers - under fire for a meek show in the ODI series - they did not disappoint, restricting the strong Australian side to 157. Yuvraj Singh again showed his value in the team, claiming the important wicket of Glenn Maxwell, with the help of some smart work by Dhoni from behind the stumps.
"They got off to a good start and it was important for us to take wickets. The spinners did the job and Hardik's first over was very crucial," Indian captain Dhoni said after the match. Kohli was named the man of the match.
