A series of bomb blasts killed at least six people in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta today morning. Reports of ongoing gunfire has also been coming in.
The attack was followed a threat by the Islamic State fighters to put Indonesia in their 'spotlight', says the latest report from Reuters. Police spokesman Anton Charliyan has said three policemen and three civilians have been killed so far.
"We have previously received a threat from Islamic State that Indonesia will be the spotlight," he said, adding the police do not know who is responsible for the attack as of now.
One of the explosions took place outside a shopping centre called the Sarinah mall, which blew up a police post.
