Mauka ads are back: Will Afridi and boys be fifth time lucky in WT20?

'Tis ICC World Cup 2016 season and Star Sports is just in time for its popular "Mauka Mauka" ad series.

The first ad of the season aired yesterday and has already crossed the one million mark.

The Pakistani fan is back with his box of fire crackers and the old but undying wish to see the Shaheens defeat the Men in Blue after their fourth consecutive loss to Team India in the T20 format of the ICC World Cup.

In the latest Mauka ad, we see the fan dust off his "Green Shirt" as his teenager-looking son fires up the computer for the video chat that he would eventually have with Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi.

Almost maudlin, he pleads to Shahid Bhai, as he calls him lovingly, to shatter the old record of losing to India and teach the Indians how to hit a sixer.

He urges Boom Boom Afridi and team to really give their best in the March 19 match, that is to be played at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, if not for him, then at least for the sake of the newer generations.

The ad, then, ends on a humorous note, where Afridi asks the fan to send his son to play in the match in question.

It's pretty evident especially after this Star Sports ad that Pakistan cricket needs a dose of young blood infusion.

Also after Team India bled badly during its World T20 opener against New Zealand, Saturday's match (obviously) will be all the more interesting to watch.

Meanwhile, the new Star Sports "Mauka Mauka" ad leaves us with the question: will Pakistan be fifth time lucky?

One can only hope.
