The savage queen of pop, Rihanna, has been splashed on magazine covers and our Instagram feeds showing off her growing pregnant belly. She’s been busy setting new femme fatale fashion standards for expecting moms. Amid this, suddenly there’s this news blowing up on Twitter that Rihanna has broken up with her boyfriend with whom she was to welcome her first child; and that too, because the boyfriend apparently cheated on Rihanna.

Now, tbh, I didn’t even know the name of Rihanna’s boyfriend till I was supposed to look for his name; neither did the person sitting next to me recollect his name. Of course the world knows about Rihanna, and that she has a boyfriend with whom she’s having a child. So if at all this rumour is true... well, then, it’s as inconsequential as non-rap fans knowing who this American rapper is.
WHAT’S THE STORY?
The source of the split between Rihanna and A$AP Rocky (that’s his name) seems to have come from fashion influencer and writer @LOUIS_via_ROMA on Twitter. He revealed that Rihanna had split from A$AP Rocky after he cheated on her with one of her close friends, employee and shoe designer – Amina Muaddi.

Apparently, Rihanna caught A$AP Rocky cheating on her with Muaddi at Paris Fashion Week, which was held between February 28 and March 8, 2022. Louis also claimed that things went sour when the couple was dining at Craig’s - a famous restaurant in LA – in March. Reports said that the couple was seen crying before leaving the restaurant.
Twitter reacted with disbelief (of course) to the news, with some accusing the fashion influencer of making up stories. However, the influencer clapped back at the critics asking why he would spread rumours in an industry where he’s very well connected and could suffer a career setback as a result.

WHO IS AMINA MUADDI?
Amina Muaddi is a shoe designer, and also the designer for Rihanna’s fashion label Fenty. In fact, one Twitter user pointed out that just a day ago, Muaddi had posted a picture of Rihanna wearing one of her shoes; when the apparent infidelity was discovered in February-March and the LA scene happened in March.
Even Rihanna herself posted the pictures of her wearing the Muaddi-designed Fenty shoes on her Instagram.
Social media sleuths also found out that Rihanna still follows A$AP Rocky, but has ‘unfollowed’ Amina, while the shoe designer still follows Riri.
