Why fans can't stop talking about live votes?
A show full of twists and turns can’t just have a normal end and fade from public memory. On its grand finale, too, Bigg Boss 11, the most controversial season so far, kept social media busy with speculations one after another.
The voting lines for the top four finalists closed on Saturday at 10am. The final results are supposed to be based on that voting. With the least number of votes, Puneesh Sharma is believed to be out of the race already. But little before the telecast of the finale episode was scheduled on Sunday, social media was abuzz with the speculation of a live voting between top two finalists: Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan.
Live voting to decide winner? Not likely
On several occasions earlier, the viewers were asked to log in to Voot app and vote live. Shilpa was chosen as a better entertainer over Hina Khan one such live vote session. However, it is unlikely that the winner would be decided by live voting as that may involve the possibility of technical glitches. But speculations stormed social media throughout the day.
It was said that every year the name of the winner gets leaked before it is telecast as the episode is shot beforehand. This year, too, Shilpa Shinde is likely to win. To prevent such things, which fuel speculations and betting, the show-makers might want to opt for a last-minute live voting through its app. Speculations suggest live voting would be between Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan, the top two contestants of the season. If this turns out to be true, talks of the channel authorities favouring Vikas Gupta, under Ekta Kapoor’s influence will be laid to rest at least.

Shilpa Shinde already the winner?
A day before the finale, #ShilpaShindeForTheWin trended on Twitter and crossed 3.5 million tweets.

Interestingly, the Wikipedia page of Bigg Boss 11 showed Shilpa Shinde as the winner. Soon after the issue was raised on social media, it was deleted. Some fans even alleged that Hina's fans edited the Wikipedia page so that Shilpa's fans become complacent and do not vote, if a live voting is declared!
