The viral Unboxing by Husband TikTok video trend proves the power of TikTok to create waves across communities. TikTok videos can grab attention that is unimaginable on both extremes of possibilities. If you pull out the video-sharing app, you’ll inevitably see opportunistic folks risking their reputations, bodies and minds on camera for attention; or you will find people flashing out things they do that they find 'cool'.
Now, there are good trends that last on TikTok, but some are just weird and harmful, and have the power to traumatise you like nothing else.
We will start with the Unboxing by Husband trend.
THE UNBOXING BY HUSBAND TREND
A new trend on TikTok is the Unboxing by Husband one, which is popular among Muslim newlyweds in Malaysia. The couples are seen in their bridal outfits, on their wedding night, in front of a mirror, where the groom removes the bride’s head accessories.

This does not seem to have gone down well with some sections of society and religious leaders, who have called for a ban on such gestures; as it reduces the dignity of the bride.
But Unboxing by Husband is hardly the worst of TikTok trends. Here is our list of bizarre trends that we urge you to not attempt unless you want to lose your teeth or another body part.
1. EATING FROZEN HONEY
This trend involves filling a water bottle with honey and freezing it before consuming the golden concoction. In spite of millions of views, some users experienced the worst of this trend. Several have claimed to have diarrhoea and uneasiness after consuming this honey water, as stomach cramping and bloating can be an extremely painful side-effect.

2. EAT CEREAL FROM MY MOUTH
FYI: You might lose your cravings for cereal after reading this.
Designed to disgust, this #CerealChallenge looks nasty and might also feel nasty with a potentially dangerous end result.
A person pours milk and cereal into the open mouth of another person who is lying down. The first person then eats breakfast from the human “bowl”. Things can get super gross, super messy, and could become a choking hazard. We definitely suggest you to avoid this.
x1 cannot disband they still havent done the cereal challenge. we need to see seungyul do this pic.twitter.com/PqZ1hsPuVc

3. DRILL CORN
In this seriously injurious viral TikTok video trend called Corn Challenge, participants try to eat a moving corn cob which is fixed to a spinning drilling machine. This spine-chilling trend has caused a lot of injuries to many participants, and especially caught attention after rapper Jason Derulo chipped a tooth while performing the stunt.
Did Jason Derulo just chip his teeth is the ‘Corn challenge’?It’s possible he may have due to his veneers and the speed of the drill.Maybe this is just a big prank?#Covid_19 #tiktok #tiktokexposed #coronavirus #viral #funny #cornchallenge pic.twitter.com/PYYL7OH8fc

4. FACE WAX CHALLENGE
The Face Wax Challenge involves casting gloopy wax on a person's face, including on top of their eyes, as if a mould is being cast. This includes sticking wax-dipped Q-Tips in their noses to extract nasal hair. When finished, the dried-up mask is peeled off in one piece.
Skin experts call this process traumatic “for the skin, especially sensitive areas such as those found around the eyes”. Also, since waxing is a sensitive process that can cause irritation to the skin unless done properly, it is better to avoid such senseless trends.
5. USING ERECTION CREAM TO PUMP YOUR LIPS
In this trend, TikTokers try to plump their pouts with erection cream. While an influencer Jerry Mal did succeed in fluffing his lips to larger proportions, he had to stop the stunt early, within 3 minutes, due to the burning sensations.
Doctors say that the hack is “utterly ridiculous and can be extremely dangerous”, and “temporary” procedures could lead to adverse reactions including soreness, swelling and blisters, as well as blood pressure fluctuations and “possible heart problems”.
6. SKULLBREAKER CHALLENGE
This viral craze reportedly originated in Venezuela as a “skull breaker” fun video, which depicted three friends jumping next to each other as the corner boys kick the middle guy’s feet from under him.
This sends the middle person crashing to the ground, landing him on his back and hitting his head in the process. Given the alarming rise in injuries and ER visits, doctors have unsurprisingly condemned this stupid practice for its potential to cause “serious and life-threatening injuries”. This can include “skull fracture to paralysis and death”.

7. MILK CRATE CHALLENGE
If you visit a milk shop at 5 am, you might see a line of restaurant workers waiting to buy milk in bulk quantities for their restaurant kitchens. Some even buy crates of milk together because it is used so heavily. But even though milk is such a necessity, someone created a trend of using these milk crates as a claim to fame.
In this trend, wannabe gymnasts assume milk crates to be a balance beam of sorts and attempt to climb a pyramid of stacked milk crates. But usually participants end up turning black and blue as this pyramid is unstable and dangerous to try.
