In yet another insensitive statement, which is likely to erupt controversy, former Army chief and Union minister VK Singh on Thursday said it was wrong to blame Centre for every crime in the states. "If somebody will throw stone on dog, then you cannot pass the blame on govt," said Singh.
In an answer to a question about recent killing of two children of a Dalit family in a village near Faridabad, Singh blamed the failure of local administration for the incident. Singh attributed the incident to an old rivalry between the two families.
The minister of development of Northeastern region said that Faridabad issue was a local law and order problem and it was wrong to hold Centre responsible for it.
Amid ongoing debate over the growing intolerance in the country, the BJP-led central government came under huge attack from all quarters after the killing of two Dalit children in a village in Faridabad district of Haryana.
Dalit children Vaibhav and his sister Divya had perished in the blaze allegedly set off by some upper caste people of the village who had a running feud with their family, their mother Rekha, 28, suffered serious burns and is battling for life in a Delhi hospital. Their father Jitender, 31, also received injuries while trying to save them.

Listen to V K Singh. Does he speak as Union Minster? Or as spokesperson of Haryanvi Rajputs (his own community)? https://t.co/NsVQqqJUDX

Why this selective outrage by pseudo nationalists? Will they comment about V.K. Singh's remarks?
— nikhil wagle (@waglenikhil) October 22, 2015
Shame on General V.K Singh for his ugly comment on the murder of the Dalit babies. He compared it to a dog being stoned.

Poor dogs. If only they were cows, they wouldn't be touted by ministers as analogies @Gen_VKSingh

V K Singh's very unfortunate dog stoning example when talking of the #Ballabhgarh killing incident #FootInMouth https://t.co/Xbvm2PxcRe

Why is media surprised VK Singh compared Dalit kids to a dog. His boss @narendramodi ji compared riot victims to puppies!
— Tehseen Poonawalla (@tehseenp) October 22, 2015
In any other society that has not been polluted by Brahminism, VK Singh would have been forced to resign and spent the his life in shame.

Well done VK Singh. You've surpassed Saheb when it comes to canine analogies. Take a bow bow
— Anil Acharya (@aa3132) October 22, 2015
Acc to VK Singh analogy; what can people of India do to a government when they are elected for 5 yrs? Pay for your mistake? #SackVKSingh
