An open letter to Imran Khan

Go get some sleep and wake up a better man.

Dear Mr Imran Khan,

I am sorry to see you like this. A egoistic man who is fast turning out to be a liability for his own nation.

Have they figured it out — Naya Pakistan = Purana Pakistan?

It has taken a few weeks for a large part of your 'awaam' to understand that the 'Naya Pakistan' you have made them dream about is just a mirage.

Right now, you have no money to run your country and literally you are left with no other option but to go back and ask for more money from China.

Your country's economic condition is so precarious that you are selling off your official own cars to raise money. Have you ever heard of a "Wazir-E-Azam" selling off his official cars to raise money? It's no surprise that you couldn't sell many of your cars because there's weren't enough buyers.

Tell me, Khan-Sahab, did you find buyers for the buffaloes that you are supposed to sell? Yes, we got to know that too, oops! Thanks to your secretary, Naeem.

The fact that you don't have money could have been compensated, if you had power. But that has also eluded you.

The whole world knows that you have been put in that chair apparently because you are a "blue-eyed boy" of the Pakistani army and that reportedly the elections in Pakistan was rigged and festered with violence to tilt the results in your favour.

I don't know what it feels like to wait for orders from the army headquarters for every small little decision, but it must be tough, right, Mr Khan?

Guess who calls the shots? (Photo: Twitter)

We understand the frustration, we understand that you are so frustrated that you decided to take it on our Prime Minister. Otherwise, what can explain the unparliamentary language that you used against a fellow of head of state who — unlike you — came to power solely through democratic means?

You had said in the same tweet that all your life, you have come across small men occupying high offices. Is that the reason you called the supporters of your predecessor Mr Nawaz Sharif 'donkeys'?

We often rue the level of political discourse in India, Mr Khan, but your level of discourse is something else. You aren't a small man, I am sure, but you were petty enough to apparently hound out a fellow lady politician and continued attacking her in public because she said that you sexually harassed her? Not only that, your party has denounced her, your supporters till date continue to issue threats to Ayesha Gulali like disfiguring her face with acid? Have you said anything to your followers? Have you, Mr big-hearted Prime Minister?

Is it true that another ex-wife of yours has also accused you of sexually harassing her? I am sure you are trying hard to forget about those allegations.

Okay, let's move on.

Within weeks of assuming office, you removed this man — Atif Mian — from office because you didn't agree with his religious views. Your ex-wife and mother of two of your boys, Jemima Goldsmith, who generally supports you in most of your decisions, couldn't hold back her anger when she saw a scholar removed from office just because of his faith.

Did you say a word? Or your army bosses asked you to keep quiet regarding this too?

Mr Khan, you have no shame, otherwise you wouldn't have financially supported a Madrassah which has produced terrorists after terrorists as alums and are renowned the world over for their nefarious activities. Do your army bosses know that you support a religious school that produced the same terrorists who killed their own children?

Guess what, Washington knows knows about your ultra-soft corner for terrorists. They have no doubts about it that you are reportedly a terror sympathiser.

But how does that matter, Mr Khan? You are a big man now. You have been appointed as the prime minister. Woah!

But is it true that you were always like that? A man with a small mind who is self-obsessed?

You only cared about massaging your ego, even when you were the captain of your country's cricket team? Do you remember how you appealed for crowdfunding of your hospital when you were asked to give a speech just after being presented with your country's first cricket world cup? You forgot to thank your team and your supporters and went on talking about yourself and your pet project, all the while while holding the cricket world cup of your country.

Even then, he only spoke about himself. (Photo: Twitter)

It's a shame being you, Mr Khan.

Guess what, Mr Khan? Given the many examples of your small mind, Mr Khan, our Prime Minister is no match for you.

Isn't it time that you look back into the mirror before talking about our country's Prime Minister?

Shame on you, Mr Khan! There's nothing but shame for you for what you have done and how you have conducted yourself.

Go get some sleep and wake up a better man.

Regards,

An angry Indian.
