2023 is about to end, and every new year means new resolutions. Now, what is that one thing that we tirelessly make resolutions and promises about (without fulfilling any, most of the time)? Our work life, of course. A new survey by Instagram agrees.

The new survey

As we approach the fag end of the year, Instagram released takeaways from a survey of 5,000 Gen Z respondents across India, Brazil, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States. The trend report is called "The Instagram Trend Talk" and it previews the trends expected to surface on Instagram in 2024, driven by Gen Z's active pursuit.

The survey reveals various shocking facts about how in 2024, Gen Z in India ranked

  • staying healthy,
  • exploring career paths, and
  • travelling

as their top priorities.

  • The data also shows that Indian Gen Z also believes starting your own business is the best way to achieve wealth. (no surprise, given that India in 2023 has more than 90,000 startups, including over 100 unicorns)
