Why is Noida trending online after Spotify Wrapped 2023?

This year's Spotify Wrapped is here. By now, you must also have checked yours and felt embarrassed, happy, or amazed by it.

Among all the details we received about our listening habits this year, there was one additional feature where we could compare our listening habits to that of other people on the planet... but not everyone seemed to be happy about the answer they got for this one. 

What 

• Every year, Spotify keeps track of what songs and artists you’re listening to.
• And by year-end, the streaming giant packages your data — in what is called Spotify Wrapped. 
• Spotify Wrapped logs everything from the number of times of you have replayed that sad breakup playlist by Arijit Singh or simped over AP Dhillon's With You; there is everything.
• Now, as creepy as it sounds, every year, users share their listening habits on social media and it is quite a meme fest.

Noida: The destination no one wanted

• Uttar Pradesh's Noida is trending after the release of Spotify wrapped. Why, you ask? So, this year one of the interesting new features that Spotify came up with for Spotify wrapped was telling us which places in the world have similar listening habits. 

• It depends on the type of artists, genres or even replays, and it looks like most of the people got Noida (including me, btw) - and not everyone seems so happy about it for obvious unsaid reasons. 
• If you have Noida in one of these slides, you have a music taste similar to that of people living in Noida. 

Social media erupts

Like we just told you, not everyone was happy about it, so what did they do? They took their frustration out on social media (mostly X), and what did we do? We collected the most hilarious ones for you. Check them out:
