Congress is trying to retain one of their bastions, while BJP is trying to make a dent in the political space. AAP on the other hand may have already made their presence known in the state. The India Today-MyAxis India Exit Polls predicted a clean sweep for Arvind Kejriwal's AAP in Punjab.

Follow the trends:

  • Currently, Congress is trying to retain power in Punjab. But the climate doesn’t seem to be too welcoming of the party which is in power right now. Congress had a change in leadership just 6 months before the elections. Its most notable Chief Minister face Captain Amarinder Singh was shunned by the party for the current CM and CM face Charanjit Singh Channi.
  • India Today-Axis MyIndia Exit Poll predicts a major win for AAP with an average of 83 seats. Congress is expected to win only 25 seats, down from 52 seats from its performance in 2017.
  • AAP’s Chief Minister face is Bhagwant Mann, a member of Lok Sabha and a former comedian.
